FITNESS CENTER WORKOUT
This course is designed for the serious fitness enthusiast interested in substantially improving their knowledge of fitness concepts and workout practices. Students will design and follow a comprehensive personal fitness plan. Workout regimens will be monitored and assessed during the semester. Students will work independently with the instructor functioning in the role of a personal trainer. Personal fitness goals are determined and assessed by both the student and the instructor.
Working with the Instructor, students will identify personal fitness goals and practice different levels of intensity. Students will assess their individual level of fitness, learn the components of a fitness plan, design a comprehensive exercise plan and follow a work- out regimen for the semester. Flexibility and strength training pictured here are two components of an exercise plan.
Individual improvement and success will be monitored by both the student and the teacher.
Sports specific training may be incorporated into the plans as a secondary goal to overall fitness.
